Idea Summary: To use a material that guides the public through and to events without the need of extensive artificial lighting. A material that is natural, non-toxic, non-radioactive, cold and heat resistant, self luminous and does not require maintenance once installed. Can be used as a guide or as a safety feature.
Idea Submission:
The suggestion is to use photo luminous material in a series of innovative ways to provide guidance in low level light conditions whether indoors or externally. The material used can be applied directly onto the surface (pathway, road surface) or in combination with an acrylic or PET material which does not inhibit its properties in absorbing artificial or natural light.
The material emits a 'glow' once the light (artificial or natural) decreases and the duration can last up to 12 hours dependent on the amount of time it has absorbed light and density of the material used.
The material can be shaped, designed and incorporated in a number of creative ways, with application relatively straight forward and simple to install. Once in place it will continue to absorb light and emit for a number of years, therefore relatively low maintenance once implemented.
I am working on a number of innovative applications/designs and situations where I consider this material would be of benefit from a safety and guidance prospective. Would be prepared to discuss in greater detail if requested.

Idea Summary: Energy Efficiency Proposals. This aims to cut fuel efficiency, energy efficiency heating and air conditioning efficiency as well with minimal cost implications.
Idea Submission:
Firstly on the fuel efficiency it is commendable but not practical the Government's efforts to have every person arrive at the Olympic Games by public transport which is energy efficient. But as an alternative to that for those who it is not convenient for we intend to float GREEN CHAUFFERS which as the name suggests will be an eco-friendly cab and chauffeur service offering services using purely hybrid engine vehicles and of two grades one for the VIPs and the second the regulars. The VIP range would consist more of top of the range hybrid vehicles and hence will cost slightly more than the regular which will consist of cheaper hybrid brands. However the important factor to note is the pricing will be competitive with charging rates of regular petrol or diesel engine cars providing a cleaner alternative at the same pricing. Next is lighting and air conditioning efficiencies. Within our environmental policy we always include in the assignment instructions of all our security operatives to take a special patrol turning off unused lights, heating systems and air conditioning left running when not in use this costs nothing extra but saves a lot of carbon emissions and energy usage is optimised cutting off unnecessary wastage.
