The demands of staging the 2012 Olympic Games provide a focal point for demand-led collaborative partnerships between London's business and academic sector. This is the driving force behind London SciTech Challenges. The Challenges represent what the London business and academic community need to do to meet these demands.
For each of our 6 industry sectors we have appointed Champions. Our Champions are organisations advising on or involved in staging the 2012 Games, which makes them ideally placed to identify these Challenges. The Challenges focus on key areas of science and technology innovation.
This is where you as a London-based business come in; we need you to respond to these Challenges. If you submit a good idea to London SciTech Challenges we will connect you with some of the leading academics within London who have the technical knowledge to help you take your idea to the next level.
If you and the academics we connect you with decide to develop the innovation together, you will get the chance to showcase the outcome of your work at a number of exhibitions and events held across London in Spring 2009.
London SciTech Challenges will also signpost you to relevant funding opportunities, maximising your chances of commercialising your innovation.
